Hello! i am user123 and this is my guide to the Owler iceberg that i made.
October 3rd Owler was declared read-only due to Redux, the developer, pasing thru mental health issues. Owler would eventually go back online on November 3rd.
i love cache The beggining of the (somewhat shortlived) Droste effect started by Lukas.
the great pfp purge Huge bug that happened due to the developer changing the innards of Owler. After a reset, most profile pictures were reverted back to the default "no picture" image.
embeds Owler has a system of embeds that supports Feridinha, Imgur, Postimg (maybe), YouTube and HushView BitView. It supported Catbox at one point.
reply bug The bug happens if you click to reply a post, refresh the website, and write a new post. Since Owler thinks that you (the writer) are still intent to replying to the person, it will add that extra "in reply to _____" text & will show up on the replied to person's replies tab.
hashtags Feature added on September 5th 2024 that allows you to, well, add interactable hashtags to your posts.
redux Redux is Owler's creator and developer. He (or she or they) is a really cool person.
sex Sex is a person that somewhat often posts about sex (like it's in the bloody name).
twitter integration Twitter integration was a feature where you could input any twitter page (for example: owler.cloud/duranduran@twitter.com would redirect you to a Owler link containing Duran Duran's Twitter profile, posts included.) and it would appear. This feature was scrapped because of Twitter's ban in Brazil and also the developer, Redux, claiming that it was expensive to maintain.

dark mode Need i say more? it is dark mode for owler, turning your Owler profile into a nice and cozy space. That is, of course, if you prefer dark mode.
lice courage A typo that i made, replying to user Phantaski, regarding BitView verification, of which, user Licecourage (LOL!) pointed it out and has become a sort-of running joke.
I meant to spell "like, courage".
owlermon Owlermon is a type of Pokémon-esque game in which people could play via sending specific messages in the timeline. Owlermon has not been active for about a week and IDK20 is left there to ponder nature.
eeffoc Coffee spelt backwards is eeffoC, and it's funny.
using the api to say you posted from ANYTHING Like the real Twitter, you can edit the API text to say you posted from, say a Sony VAIO SVE151J11X (the exact model of laptop i have!)
owler alphabet A series of posts where the people of Owler tried to make the alphabet, one letter per person.
funny owler posts A video by Newman420 showing quite humourous Owler posts. (although joking about people's seizures is not humourous.)
158520 A post by the Owler Owler account simply saying "sexo", which, from portuguese, translates to "sex".
walter1098 A account made to resemble a Half-Life 1 Black Mesa Scientist.
s S is a account that posts more random stuff, compared to other accounts.
july 24th elections A public vote to choose who whould be the "president of Owler". Zeek was elected as the winner of the election.
larping LARPing, or Live Action RolePlaying, means that you are faking who you are in real life too!
roblox history monthThe entire month of september is called ROBLOX history month to most Owler people, as suggested by Marcus.
checkmarks If you were to donate to Owler via Ko-fi, you would get a checkmark next to your username. This fearure was removed when Owler stopped accepting donations.
leonardcraft Leonardcraft was a modified version of Minecraft Beta. Since Jackipecac (the creator of Leonardcraft) has been shadowbanned, the future of Leonardcraft remains indecisive.
10 page limit Nowadays, there is a 10 page limit for posts and favourites.
nettspend User Bruhmachine has claimed to have seen Nettspend in a Family Dollar, and that has, too, become an inside joke.
we're in 2030 2024 was 6 years ago, according to user Marcus.
featured section The featured section was a place where select users were to be displayed. When Owler added donating, it was used to display the donators. This feature has long since been removed.
owlvintage OwlVintage is a Android client for Owler, developed by moderator Zestski.
shadow bans Shadow bans are not confirmed to exist, as the user could have deleted their account, but there is always a possibility.

transparency in designs When imputting hexadecimal colour codes, you can put 2 more hexadecimal entries to signify transparency.

Old logo Owler has had a smorgasbord of old logos, with the oldest using Comic Sans, to an intermediary with a cut e, to the one we have today.

This is the last entry mentioning zeek. As the creator, i don't know how she got that many mentions, but she deserves it, damnit.
OwlTube An Old YouTube revival once dreamt out loud by Lukas. The plan hasn't yet been put to motion.

Identity bug A patched bug discovered by Lukas (DON'T FUCKING BLAME ME HE PUT THIS IN THE CHART) where if you inputted the post number of any post, combined with any account, it whould appear as if that person posted it. This was patched somewhere inbetween The End Panic (See June 11th, 2024 in High Water) and October.
